She was heartbroken. Her boyfriend of three years was cheating on her. She believed his many lies and even allowed herself to get carried away with fantasies of a happy ever after life, just like in fairytales. Alas, it was never to be.
Titi was a decent girl. She believed in love and fidelity in a relationship. She refused to play around like so many of her friends did. Now, she was heartbroken. Will she ever learn to trust again? This question haunted her day and night and refused to leave her.
Meanwhile, Brian had just come in from Sweden to do business in Nigeria. He had heard so much about the business opportunities in Africa and being the adventurous soul that he was, he decided to travel to Nigeria to do business here.
It was one day, a golden sunset when Brian and Titi met. Titi was about to go for an evening class with her friend when her friend decided she wanted to have a drink. Titi reluctantly accompanied Bose to the restaurant.
Across from them was seated Brian. He wanted to go to a particular gallery, so he asked Titi and Bose for the directions to the place. The directions were somewhat complicated: this led to considerable discussion. He presented his card, told them that he had just come in from Sweden to go into business here in Nigeria and that he would like them to accompany him to the gallery. Titi wasn’t too interested in going to the evening class, so she went with him to the gallery.
After the reading at the gallery, they exchanged phone numbers and began to see each other. It turned out beautifully. Brian married Titi and his favourite phrase is Baby, where have you been all my life?
