Wedding etiquette is very important, especially in the modern time when everyone is in such a hurry and pays little attention to the niceties of life. It’s because of this I have compiled this list for you to know what to do and what not to do as regards wedding etiquette. Kindly read on.
What colour should I wear to the wedding?
Any cool colour is fine, so long as it doesn’t take the attention away from the bride. White outfits and large hats are strongly discouraged, as one should always bear in mind that you are not there to compete with the bride. It’s her day, after all!
Should I ever propose at someone’s wedding?
This is a tricky question. It really depends on the couple about to wed and the lady you wish to propose to. It is always a good idea to find out from the about-to-wed couple and your girlfriend’s friends if it is wise to do so. Their response will guide you. If you get a go-ahead, be sure to propose after the bouquet toss, so that you don’t steal the show away from the couple.
Are kids allowed to come with me?
It is not advisable to invite kids to a wedding. Weddings are adult affairs. The jokes, alcohol and late night dancing are truly not for kids. Do not be offended if the wedding card says ‘adults only’.
Now, I’m sure our readers have an idea of what to do and how to wow the bride and groom with their impeccable manners. Enjoy the rest of your day.
