You should be able to share your hopes, dreams, aspirations and fears with your life partner. There should be unconditional love, trust, acceptance and fidelity in a marriage, just as it is with your best friend. Not only should you be able to make your spouse laugh, you should also be a shoulder for your spouse to cry on when sad.

Friends enjoy each other’s company.
As a couple, you should strive for genuine friendship. True friends enjoy each other’s company and always look forward to seeing each other. It is a sure sign of a great marriage when you can actually look forward to seeing your spouse at the end of a long day at work.

Friends share their dreams, hopes, fears and goals with one another. There is lots of communication in true friendships. Your friends tell you whenever you are going astray and can’t see it.

Best friends are patient with each other.
Best friends love one another unconditionally. They know you aren’t perfect, and that’s okay with them. They still love you, warts and all.

Help around the House.
Your spouse will do the house chores in your absence, make food for your while you are work. Drop and pick kids from school. Go to market or supermarkets to do some shopping if you are not chanced. I mean it’s not just a woman’s job to do all these.

A true friend looks for the best in you and finds effective ways to bring it out.
